Crawling shadows
past blinking lights
Talking hands
shouting eyes
Skin beneath
window pane
pale and bleak
Few sobs buried
under display
Make up of
fake giggles
One more night
one more death
Prostitution is considered as world's oldest profession/business. Yet there are no rules, no laws, no hearings and no answers to certain questions.....

hmm...
deep post...
Yep :)
This one is nice...
very meaningful touching lines...
well abt prostitution, you just need to go out and see, there are many organizations working for this cause and yes ,they are heard many times.you might want to explore them.
unko sabse zayada zaroorat hai to bass 'Respect' ki.
but the core issue is WhY!
is it just the skewed ratio or is there more to it?
No girl is born prostitute..like no criminal is born criminal but Indian siciety donot accept prostitutes to be respected, what ever the reason the girl, her innocence, her dreams all die the day she is robbed first...she is not robbed physically, but her soul is raped....then the morning she decides now she will rule this world, and ....the story starts..This seems to be a story but is a bitter reality...
Hope: Thanks :)
Geet: Thanks and welcome :)
And abt organizations, well, the truth is not what they show on TV or claim in media, its very different. Ofcourse respect is very necessary but it matters only when you have the food to sustain yourself.

hmmm...moving
i wish maggi was as delicious as your two minute poems :)
na na... i dont believe in media unless i am very sure. i was working for this cause for sometime and had interacted with some.
and even to sustain themselves ,they have to go out in the world where they dont get any respect but get humiliated.and all they ask "give us respect" which will help them to look out for other possibilities to help them live (i should say live happily)
hmm nice and thoughtful...
Umang:

Geet:
Hey, that's great. And as far as I know, there is a lot of physical torture involved as well, not only by the hands of customers but by their own pimps/madams.
